Nonetheless, this is an intriguing little invention of Tarte's. One of the new crease proof shadows to hit the shelves, Tarte's new product has two steps: 1- brush on a base, then 2- roll on the matching powder shadow. Voila!

A great relaxing day got even better when I came home to a yummy little package full of goodies! In sleek packaging, the beautyADDICTS makeup was a nice surprise.

They have a few collections to offer: Glow, Express, Motivate and Seduce- a different collection to suit each type of gal out there. I had the pleasure of trying out the Express collection- for the minimalist, the chic and sleek chica using neutral and rosy colors for casual elegance. Each collection has a lip palette, eye shadow quad, duo glimmer and a bronzer. The lip colors are full of pigment and shine (and shea butter, aloe vera, and vitamin E too!) The eye shadow quad comes with four different beautiful, blendable textures. The yummy glimmers- one a luminizing luster and the other a sheer highlighter. Lastly, we have the Hydra SUNrays bronzer- a 'one size fits all' sheer, matte bronzing powder that contains pearl powder infused with anti-oxidants and vitamins.

So, I've fallen for Insolence due to the sales work by a certain Macy's SA. The same one that convinced me that lash curlers were worth a try after seeing his dazzling lashes. He didn't say too much that convinced me, just all of the body language and "you know what I'm saying?!" that tapped my senses and pushed Insolence to the top of my to-buy list-- soaring past Paris Hilton for men (yes, I'm so buying that for me), Versace Bright Crystal, JLo After Dark, Prada, the long awaited Donna Karan Gold (out of season now) and my beloved YSL Baby Doll.... haaaaaa... As much as I like this scent, I really want a head turner. I want to float past a guy and he stop and ask "What are you wearing?" I want to be magnetic on the dance floor because I smell that good....

Hey Nikkia!

I tried the blue brown! What an interesting color to work with.. anything i put on it, it turned blue! It made for a blue brown kinda day.. eh.. what do you think?

The Results: Sally Hansen's Spray On Hair Removal

My summer hasn't quite kicked into gear yet.  I haven't purchased my MAC tanner from the GlamGams collection . Nor, have I started any summer rituals of hair removal and body exfoliation to show off glowing skin. My mind and skin are still in a winter shell... (not the feet, though!) Which then means... I haven't tried the Sally Hansen Spray On Hair Removal!  Remember that post? Alas! I have found someone who has. Read her review here!

Unfortunately, so convincing is her review, ya won't get a review from me =(

Happy Birthday Kaylyn!

On this past Saturday, I helped my little sister celebrate her birthday. We took her to Color Me Mine for some fun arts and crafts and out to her favorite restaurant with friends. We were thinking of going to Club Libby Lu's, but what we'd pay for there, I could provide at home. So before the we took the girls out, we gave them Cheetalicious rock star makeovers!

This is my now 12 year old sister Kay. She's wearing NYC blue mascara, Styli Style blue eye liner, Milani blush in Luminous and MAC lipglass in palatial. I made the "cheetah spots" using a black liner for the shape and metallic brown eyeliner pencil to fill in the spots.

She's wearing the same products, but with Viz-a-violet pigment on her lids and a purple liner under her eyes.

EOTD: the Apple Diva way!

Hey Apple!

You all know that I'm always excited to share makeup tales, hauls and experiments, so in discussing these things with my homey AppleDiva, I asked for some visuals. She has been gracious enough to share some shots with Yummy411:



In the above shot she used- (all MAC) Softwash grey (pigment i believe)on her lid, Silver ring in her crease, and Patina as her highlight (or on the brow bone.)






In the second shot, she used- Golden Olive pigment on the lid, Bronze in the crease and on the brow bone.

Golden olive is on my to-buy list! It's looking good on all faces! The pic is kinda blurry, but you get the picture right? I joked with Apple that she just about cropped her eye out of the pic!

Thanks for sharing Apple! I love testing out colors, esp ones that are new to me!

FOTD: Prescriptives

Yo K-Money! lol

My friend Kiya had to tell me all about her trip to Prescriptives. She was excited about her custom blended makeup.. and so was I! I spoke of Prescriptives before, but after hearing about Kiya's experience, I have to stop one day and invest (lol) in some makeup especially made for me!

She gave me the run down: a consultation and blending at the counter takes about an hour, the cost is average $28- about $38 roughly, she loves the coverage and skin tone match. Sounds great to me.

We were so excited, you know I had to ask for pics (even if it was with a cam phone. What else are they for people??)




See! Nice, bare, even skin, no visible blemishes... perfect!
