Burt's Bees Radiance Daily Cleanser Product Review

Burt's Bees Radiance Daily Cleanser with royal jelly is one of the last products that I've used all up and want to review. I first began with the Burt's Bees line of products with the lip balm and fell in love with their toner (which I can never find in the drugstore anymore). When looking for a facial cleanser to try, I decided on the Radiance Daily Cleanser with royal jelly as Burt's Bee's natural skin care is always a safe bet.

I was totally pleased with the cleanser, especially during these dry winter months:
-Gentle on my skin.
-Cleaned without stripping my skin of all oils.
-No strong smells.
-Skin was soft and supple after cleansing.
-Hard to remove makeup needs pre-clean sing, but that's not a problem for me.

There was one thing, a bit unnerving...
THE FOLLOWING STORY IS RATED PG-13/R for suggestive subject matter.... lol

I was at a friend's house where I used the bathroom and noticed she used the same facial cleanser. So I decided to ask her about it, since I was loving it, but with one concern.
Me: "I see you use the Burt's Bees facial cleanser. How do you like it?"
Friend: "Oh, it's good. I don't have a problem with it."
Me: "I like it a lot, but do you ever feel like you're washing your face with... s.emen? Maybe the soap plus royal jelly gives me that idea.""
Friend: "No, different color and texture."
Me: ...
Considering I can forget my pill for days at a time, I'll take her word for it!

Overall, I like this facial wash and will be repurchasing. $10, sold at most mass retailers.

Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser

This product has haunted me in the beauty aisles of the drugstore, Target and Walmart. I finally picked up Clean & Clear Makeup Dissolving Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser ($5.99 on sale -$7.99)to put this product to the test. I had to find something cheaper, but comparable to the ever loving Philosophy's Purity Made Simple face cleanser!

Because of my constantly changing life, I've been rough on my skin this week committing all type of beauty sins: sleeping in makeup, not even removing mascara at the least. Well lo and behold, Clean & Clear to the rescue.

With a few pumps, I wash my face, make sure the mascara softens and rinse. No dry skin and most importantly no mascara residue! Lately, I've been applying my toner with my hands so I haven't had the opportunity to see any 'left over' on cotton pads. However, I think it's safe to say that if it rinses clean of mascara, it surely must have gotten rid of all traces of face makeup and dirt. This has replaced my other favorite face wash that I will tell you about in another post! No more lusting after Purity Made Simple!

Yummy411: Aw baby no! My favorite face wash is gone!

Recently I ran out of the best facial wash ever, my beloved iQ Derma facial wash. My face lashed out in panic...... (horrible pics of sad, angry and confused skin ahead. Beware!) Yeh and this was right on time... right before I left for Fashion Week in NY.

My skin and face sang out.....
"Baby don't go, no baby no baby no baby"
"I can't believe that this is happening to us. We made vows to never be apart." "So I guess I have to keep on hoping, wishing, praying that you are here and I'd rather end this self misery than to go on living without you..."

Who knows that song? Give you $5 if you can name that song. Sike...
Can't figure it out, check here.

Yes, I'm considering breaking my bank on another bottle of my iQ Derma. (I know there are others out there that shell out way more on their Chanel and LaMer, but CVS is less than 5 miles away for me.)

Yummy411: Bliss Triple Oxygen™ Instant Energizing Mask

I went to Sephora once, saw my good esthetician friend and asked her for a recommendation on what to spend my money on. Anything new and exciting? (Going to Sephora can be like going to the casino; no real aim, just looking to spend money and have fun.) What did she recommend? Bliss' Triple Oxygen Mask for quick skin repair before makeup application. Bliss Spa's famous Triple Oxygen mask treatment for you in a bottle! I was giddy! I love a fresh canvas for makeup! I quickly ran to it and promised to return when I was ready to drop $52 dollars on it. My iQ Derma was doing me just fine for the moment. I finally got my hands on it to try.. yippee!!

From Bliss:
What is it? A flash-action mask that delivers a shot of oxygen and detoxifiers, a dose of a powerhouse form of Vitamin C, a smattering of anti-free radicals and a moisture fix to instantly spiff up your skin when you find it looking a little 'low' life.

Why? Studies show that as we age, the natural oxygen levels circulating in our facial skin decline, and along with them, goes the energy needed to keep our cells functioning like the cells on a 'fresh' face. More oxygen (and vitamin C, and hydration) means more energy for all of the biochemical processes required by your body to keep your skin functioning like it's 'young'.

How to use it Massage a generous layer of Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask onto damp skin. Wait five minutes, until a full froth forms, then rinse well and follow with toner and/or moisturizer. NOTE: Our Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask is formulated for fast (5 minutes) action and oxygen release, so there's no need to leave it on longer. Use whenever your skin needs a boost, a maximum of 3x weekly.

Here's me experiencing my ultra, lavish at home facial treatment:

I had to wear the required lipstick for face cleansing like they do in the commercials!

La ti da! Oooh some sizzle and fizzle action!

Doo wee, shooo weeee! Is it working yet?

Okay, my five minutes was up. Rinse. I felt my skin to see what it had done on its own. Nice, smooth. Felt like I already had primer on. I then followed with my toner and moisturizer. What did I think overall. It was nice, though I expected more for my use. Remember it works so well, it's not recommended for use more than three times a week. I wanted dramatically different skin. I wanted a radiant glow that I would be afraid to cover up with makeup. My triple oxygen mask at home? Drink water, don't smoke, use primer. Less than $52. My sister who also gave herself a mask agreed. I shall use up the bottle and give an update if necessary.

Yummy411: iQderma Daily Renew Refreshing Cleanser

I had the opportunity to try iQ Derma Daily Renew Refreshing Cleanser ($32). I really like this face wash. The formula is green, not thick, but not thin and runny, it smells 'botanical' and with each wash my face feels refreshed. My face does not dry out, get that tight feeling, nor overly moisturized, but always has a thoroughly washed feeling. For those of you that like suds, it does lather well. I've been using this for a few weeks and I actually love it. Another great thing is that I don't feel the urge to do my weekly exfoliation (which I actually haven't..eeps!)

I was hesitant to write about this as this product offers more than I cared to understand, because at the end of the day, I want to know if the face wash thoroughly washed or not. However, with the huge price tag I'll try to justify it and do a little Skincare 101.

First, let's look at what they say it does and what the product offers:
Splash on this antioxidant-rich, invigorating face wash for a fresh, clean, hydrated feel. This daily cleanser is designed to complement and enhance [your] iQ Derma anti-aging skincare regimen. Unique formula delivers peptides, antioxidants and plant extracts designed to moisturize and condition while gently removing impurities.

Cleanser with ingredients proven to:
Gently wash away impurities
Soothe and hydrate skin to maintain softness and resilience
Alleviate the discomfort of irritated, dry skin
Nourish and protect with botanical extracts
Ingredients include: Argireline™, Botatonic Blend, Matrixyl® 3000
(I don't know the amounts of each that the product contains.)

So far, in my experience and what I deal with, things have been going well, not even any new breakouts during that time of the month. (Is one month the exception or the facial wash working?) I follow this with my L'Oreal Skin Genesis Serum. A power combo!

What I say:
Did you check out all of the links? With all the pro- active goodies, maybe $32 is okay, but unfortunately, too rich for my pockets. =(
