Go Mommy Go: Go Greens!

I was reading my dear friend Mildred's blog, BeautyLogic when I came across her top notch healthy Morning smoothie post, which helps her kick her new mommy, baby weight to the curb. I thought, "Wow I love smoothie idea and the Garden of Life Perfect food she adds to it." While I've done my green smoothies etc., I've found that they aren't as convenient as I need them to be in my daily hustle and bustle. My quest for greens on the go led me to Greens to Go Go Greens drink mix. I already carry bottled water. I add the mix and go! Cool right? They even have it in my favorite green apple flavor, yum! Compared to other healthy/diet supplement mixes I've tasted in the past, this isn't bad at all. Looks much worse than it tastes. I still strive for the real thing, but to SUPPLEMENT I drink the Go Greens mix!

Have you tried Go Greens? Do you have any solutions to getting nutrition on the go? Keeping up with our health is beautiful!

Update: Glowelle Beauty Drink 7 Day Supply (via BeautyFix)

Just wanted to give an update to those that were wanting to know how Glowelle was working out for me.

1. See how it comes with a cute little pouch so you can carry your drink mix around with you and never forget it? How cute!

2. Glowelle has a pleasant fruity drink taste, but with the added 'nutritious' taste to me. Yeh, I drink fast and hold my nose.

3. I was deterred by the smell a bit, but when I found this info, man I decided to stick with it! I'm only on my third pack, but I feel good about it!

4. Did you know this was a Nestle product?

Check that nutritional value list!

The Pretty Committee March Meet up

Round 2!

(To save my 3 column layout, I had to redo the post completely!)
Thanks to slvrlips, kendall, askmewhats, jamilla camel, shana, coffee, phyrra, jojoba, my fashion frenzy, jensmakeupbag, and connie de alwis for all of your wonderful comments on the initial post!

The ladies of The Pretty Committee did it up again for the month of March.
This time, we made our way to Cazbar Restaurant in Baltimore, MD for some Mediterranean food and belly dancing!

The pictures are out of order thanks to Blogger!
The gang!
myself with Nykia, another belly dancer from Toya's troupe
Shana and Suzie take 2
Pics of the looks before getting dressed and going out.
I did my look based on a beautiful tutorial by Miss Chevious. When I saw her look, I knew it would be perfect for this themed outing. I changed my colors to green and black though. Please check out her tutorial! I used my Coastal Scents 88 palette to achieve the look.
(*Note to self: only use 1-2 colors from the palette per look. The colors are hard to blend)

[ETA] Face: MAC Studio Stick Foundation NC40, Medium Dark Natural MSF to set
Cheeks: Flirt's Heartthrob blush with a dark Ben Nye setting powder to contour
Lips: NYX Natural lip liner, Shy Girl cremesheen lipstick and Milani Lip Mix in Lip Fuse

The belly dancers giving us a taste of their craft! Far right is Jezal, the star of the show!
Sorry, no food porn but the food was delish and I definitely look forward to going back soon! Thanks Toya!

Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker

(photo)
I'm writing this sipping on my oh-so-delicious Bubble Tea. Now, I've had the drink before with different flavors and all: in China I couldn't quite get my question across to ask what exactly I was drinking and in the malls with terribly firm bubble (tapioca) balls. This time, I visited the known Tea-ism in DC and gave it another chance to experience the flavor of the place. I had a chicken bento box and a bubble tea (original flavor- with yummy soft and sweet bubbles). All of it was delicious! Now, I see why Rachael Ray herself came to the tea house, why my Spanish meetup group chooses this place to meet up and why the Food network featured cookie makers who sales cookies out of Teaism.

So on with the post and why I'm really writing today (just pretend that you are sipping bubble tea too)... On Saturday, I rode out with the homegirl Slvrlips and her sister in pursuit of makeup. On our journey, I was informed that we'd be in the same locale as an infamous Steve and Barry's where Sarah Jessica Parker's line Bitten is exclusively sold. ( I didn't even know I was within driving distance of a Steve and Barry's, let alone heard of it before Bitten.) For those in my DMV area, it's located in Potomac Mills Mall; yes people still shop there lol.

I was pretty impressed by the selection Sarah! Nice clean, GAP-esque pieces. The classic work shirts did it for me, but there were an assortment of items to choose from: sweaters, casual shirts, a cocktail black dress, lounge wear/ intimates and jeans. I didn't have time to try out the jeans (I HATE TRYING ON CLOTHES) but now I'm all too curious, as I heard they were long enough for the high hipped and long leg female-- not the usual short leg dubbed as 'average' length.

(l-r) Kimono sweater, $20; Vest, $15; Sleeveless Top, $8
There's so much more over at Bitten's site or at a Steve and Barry's near you.
