L'eau is water in French? Please correct my ignorance if i'm wrong. Some of my favorite fragrances are going 'L'eau'. I haven't smelled them yet, but they all claim to be the lighter, sheerer, more fresh version of the original.
Dolce & Gabbana L'eau The One
J'adore L'eau
Prada L'eau Ambree
Miss Dior Cherie L'eau
I need to smell them all ASAP. Have you checked out any of them? What's your take?

Every thing is turning up 'L'eau'
Lipstick Tip!

NEW L'Oreal HiP and Milani
What are these guys up to? Just spotted these at my CVS... Drugstore paparrazi on the move!
L'Oreal HiP Studio Secrets Crystal Shadow Duos-- HiP how is crystal shadows different from metallic shadows? Both sides of the duo are metallic versus the Metallic Shadow duos only having one metallic side? Guess I'll find out during BOGO. Regular retail, $7.99
Milani Crystal Eyes Sparkling Shadow- Sounds like a glitter creme to me, possibly with more pigments for an all over coverage? I have NYX glitter cre ams. They'll do for now. Again BOGO must be in effect for me to check these out. Whelps, wasn't sure of the price, but you know who had us covered! Sad when I can get more info from a blogger than their own site!Teen Yummy411: Acrylic Nails with 3D Art and Clay Sticks
I first heard of the clay rods/sticks from Nikki and Makeup Mama-- little decorative rods that are sliced and used for designs, more recently on nails to create 3D art. A cool way to get the 3D look, but I've known a nail tech to do her 3D designs sculpted from the acrylic she'd use over nails. Back in the mid- 90's when I was introduced to the 3D art, the tech Cara (now of Salon Couture) would do everything from fruit to Disney characters. Quite the work of art! I wish I had pics to show, but alas I don't. So many shops are trying their best to keep up and compete with her work!
Fast forward to today, the trend amongst the flashy and fabulous (usually the younger set) is to have a unique design on each different nail ranging from black and orange tiger stripes, to dots, checker board, french tip with design and 6 other unique designs from the nail tech's imagination. Some prefer a color scheme for the nails, others don't mind the random pairings. The Teen Yummy411 went in the nail shop with the latter idea in mind. Three D art is hot on the streets now, so out walks my sister with what you see above. Kinda cool and artsy, no bueno for her military school setting. In this particular shot, you don't see much of the clay rods pieces, but rather some funky plastic pieces. She said she felt like she was wearing little plastic barrettes on her nails. You know, the little ones your mom would put at the end of your braids or pigtails, 10-20 to a pack?
It's refreshing to find more than one nail shop that will give you unique designs. Now here's another shop that will give you 3D designs. I've purchased black rhinestones, so now I know where to go to get a design I want. Galaxy Nails; $35 for full set and designs.
My Favorite Blushers Right Now
Hitting the pan on Bobbi Brown's Face Palette
This is by far one of my best CCO purchases yet. Bobbi Brown's Face Palette with creamy concealer, corrector, yellow finishing powder and stick/creme concealer all for $25. This is a multitasking palette! I use it on my brows, to conceal, to neutralize my lids and for a handy, compact foundation on-the-go. I'm sad about hitting the pan. My CCO doesn't carry this anymore. Will I take the plunge and repurchase this on QVC.com with a mini-brush for $58?--- ish! (an inverted shhh. Am I the only one that makes this sound when trying to keep composure when something is shocking?)
...*gulp*
Are you hitting the pan on a discontinued or hard to find item?

FOTD An everyday neutral look
I know this isn't some fun and novel new look, but I have to keep my on-the-go makeup bag to a minimum, which includes a few workable neutrals. Here's a similar look to all of my other neutral work looks, but with a slight variation.. hahaha... can you tell?

Ben Nye Translucent Powder Cocao Tan (even cocoa tan can work in some instances!)
Eyes

Cork eye shadow in crease
Dark Edge shadow on outer v
NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk on inner corners
L'Oreal HiP metallic liner in black to liner top lid and waterline
Clarins Bronze liner to top black liner and blend out and smudged out on bottom lid

Exotic Shoot
Hey guys!
Not too long ago I worked on a photo shoot with the Poteat Image Consulting Team. This time we were able to shoot with a good friend who is also a professional plus size model. Go curvy girls! Have you seen her on QVC? She regularly models on the station. How cool, right?
For this shoot, we took a bit of a fantasy route. The creative director was amped about leopard spots and turning our model friend into an exotic feline creature. Here's a layout shot of some of the frames we got on the shoot.
This is also the shoot that convinced me that I was in love with Bobbi Brown's stick foundation. Doesn't her skin look flawless! The look was also created with the use of some NYX products. NYX's jumbo shadow pencil in gold was used to fill the leopard spots. NYX's Goddess of the Night mega shine lip gloss was used on the model's lips.
