MAC's new #130 Brush

MAC developed the #130
"A short, round, flat-topped brush ideal for the smooth, easy application of foundations, creams, emulsions, and select powder products. Features a blend of natural bristles and synthetic fibres."--says MAC.

Take a look!

Compared with a #187/stippling duo fiber SE and ELF's Studio line/ flat top/ powder brush (Don't let the solo shots fool you. This brush is small and skinty, lol)

Take a look at their heads....
PROS
soft, but firm enough, duo fibre, dense enough, no shedding
CONS
surface area of the flat top is too friggin small!!! the #187 SE is my faux #188--decent surface area, ELF got their version right! this??? *sigh*
So I walk into MAC,to purchase the new brush that will lay the #109 to rest. I'm like "Put it in the bagggg!" I get home and I'm "Wtf did I buy??" *sigh*
The head/surface area is seriously smaller than a quarter. A buffer/concealer brush?? A blusher brush? I mean it will get the job done, but I'd prefer a larger surface area. Will MAC be releasing a larger version of this in an upcoming release? (Not so according to Temptalia, smch!)

Darn! I didn't throw the #109 in the pics... oh, it's still at work in my makeup bag! Disappointed to say the least as it was rumored to take the place of/ work better than the #109. How about you?

I've yet to invest in a Mac brush, but think I'd like one of their blush brushes and their 219 pencil brushes...love the bright pink polish...so springy!

Hey girl, I liked the brush personally :2 (
I can lightly apply my liquid/ cream foundations and blend to perfection...kind of. The size is small but dense enough. I'm able to go over smaller areas much easier than its siblings.

that's too bad, it's smaller than a quarter... that's gonna take forever to apply a foundation on lol. oddly, i still want it! =)

i actually like that it's so small! i feel like i have more control. that was always my issue with the #187...it was too big. this had definitely replaced my #109.

I think that this brush would work perfectly for concealing and contouring. I would use a larger one for foundation, but this seems to be a really good size for the other things I mentioned. However, I already have a brush like this from one of the cheaper companies that works well, sooo I'll leave it at MAC lmao!

I'm in cahoots about this brush. I like the how the bristles are closer together but I think its just too small for me. I haven't given it a chance yet. I mostly wear mineral foundation so maybe I could use it for concealing. But I think I'll hold off.

@ mocha mish mash: no MAC brushes? what are you waiting for? ;)

@ dwana: it seems that most people feel like you do! i'm in the minority. it's a good brush no doubt... just disappointed with the size ;p

@ imee: hehe i understand... my brush isn't going back! ha!

@ skindeepbeauty: yes i read your review... (i think we posted at the same time) glad you found a brush that you really like to add to the arsenal!

@ reina: really? which brush do you have from a cheaper company??? do share! i used my coastal scents badger brush (travel size) i think i like it just as much.

@ allmeyene: i say go for it.. in the end, it's a great, quality brush.

Oh man, that's tiny! I'm sure it costs an arm and a leg, too! Thanks for the review, I will not buy this one, unless I'm too loaded to care :)

I'll skip. LOL! I love my 109 for contouring and getting more precision.

I bought this brush to use with my MAC Cremeblend brushes because I didn't think I had a brush for such a product...I love it!
