Sitting in the nail shop or at home with a few minutes, and I stress a few minutes, to polish the tips to make them presentable doesn't leave time for the luxurious 20 minutes to an hour for drying. If you are one of those ladies that have this time, treasure it! Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat ($9) has played a major role in getting a job like this done quick, easy and with high shine! My experience? I kept my Lubu Heels on for two weeks, no chips! China Glaze is cool, but it's not known for awesome staying power. I usually would have lots of signs of wear at my tips (remember, I wear acrylic). Mommies, when you are at the drugstore picking up your odds, ends and 'not needed items' that may lie in the cosmetic aisles, check for Seche Vite. Not bad for a drugstore item!
Now, while I'm loving this there are a few things I noticed, some where only time will tell: How long does the shine stay after using Seche Vite? Does a lot of fast drying agents dull the nail quickly? How long does it stay on your nail? Seche Vite isn't 3 Big Free. Check All Lacquered Up's Review. While Seche Vite is a top coat favorite, also check out All Lacquered Up's Top Coat Challenge that she did a while back if you want more options!
Check this out: Once after washing my hair, my nails had this funky white coating on it. Rubbing nor rinsing helped! I had a makeup job that day! I almost went back to the nail shop to have them fix the polish. I tried Seche Vite over top and voila! (index to pinky: 1- nail no Seche Vite nor white coating, 2-nail with Seche Vite--look at that shine, 3 and 4- white coating, the horror!)
Tip: Don't know if your nails are totally dry? Tap two nails together (gingerly though). Sticky? Not dry. Clicking hardness? Dry, you're ready to go!

i just painted my nails today.. i dont believe in those quick dryin polish stuff to me .. it never works! but hmm u used somethin so ur nails wont chip? i needa try that!
Just dropping by to say HI!
SV is a great quik dry topcoat. I used to use it, then I discovered Poshe. Poshe dries faster on me without the shrinkage that I got with SV.
ppl have suggested this to me before but i never knew it was drugstore brand, woo hoo! off to find it!
SV is fab but it peels away in a few days. Or did I get a bad bottle? It's still the only top coat I use. A clear by Fingerpaints isn't half bad either. Who would have thought? Heyyy!
hey u have a great weekend
will u be ther in the am?
OMG I love SV it is my holy grail!!
YAY!! another go mummy go post!!
I really need to start taking care of my nails....
adding this product to my list of nails products to buy
Maybe I need to revisit Seche. We had a falling out with it peeling the next day. Maybe I need to master the Seche technique I keep hearing about.
@ jesmakeup: yeh i felt that this top coat aided in keeping my polish from chipping!
@ trent: hi! thanks buddy!
@ jamila: yeh betty brown approved! like seche vite, i heard a few mixed things about poshe also.
@ b: hey... yeh that happened to me to, but after researching some it has been said that you might get the 'shrinkage' when you pair a non big 3 free polish with a big 3 free top coat and vice versa.
@ torrence stephens: thanks homie! you too!
@ katee: wonderful!! i'm glad!
@ amina: hehe ;)
@ suziec: check more into that big 3 free vs. non big 3 free shrinkage...
