Yummy411: Nars Cosmetics Summer Collection 2008

Hey lovelies! Are you all converting your makeup bags for Spring and Summer fun looks? I hope so. Nars' Summer Collection is out now and there are plenty of goodies to check out. Many people love their eye shadow duos, for the coordinating color combinations and it's small sleek packaging with an added mirror. The color combo in Rated R is muy popular. New to the lineup for this 2008 collection is Portobello (matte ecru and matte mushroom). Over in the duo cream eyeshadows is my new little friend, Unconditional Love (matte sea foam and soft shimmering copper). Silky and smooth, this cream shadow dries to a nice powder that can go from sheer to a soft opaque.
Other additions from the Summer Collection 2008 are: ($24-32)
Single Eyeshadow Galapagos - chocolate with gold
Lip Gloss Supervixen -sparkling mauve
Lip Gloss Misbehave-red with gold shimmer
Lipstick Mindgame -sheer brandy
Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Roman Holiday -pastel pink
Velvet Matte Lip Pencil- Dolce Vita -dusty Rose
Have you checked out this collection? What do you think?

You know what? I have this crazy obsession with NARS. But I don't own many of their products. I go crazy everytime I swatch. I need to get up on it!

@ rawdawg: that's how they get women with these makeup products. their best selling blush is Orgasm which they've since made into a lipgloss, polish and more! i'm fine, how about yourself!

@ nywele: i'll have to see that in person and check it out too!

@ divine blackness: i have a crazy obsession with their blushes!

I swatched Galapagos the other day and it looks are very deceiving. Its a matte dark chocolate brown with gold glitter. The two don't stick together well, so its more like a matte shadow with glitter thrown on top. You've got good skills so I'm sure you can prob work with it, but I passed on it....

Are NARS cream shadows good as bases for other shadows or do they crease? I have oily lids so I stray away from cream shadows normally.

I'm with you Yummy...their blushes are just FAB. Like Divine, i'm obsessed with them, but a bit too frugal to invest in the line the way that i'd like. So I just use Teneasha's in the meantime lol. I'm interested in playing with some of these shadow duos tho.

@ danyelle: damn! isn't that always the case. i would be willing to work with a product that $10 or less... not high end. thanks for dropping by and letting us know!

@ twinkle twinkle: my new little friend (the cream duo) is in the line up to be used regularly so that i can really get a feel of it's performance with other eye products. i fell in love with the texture, which seems that it might be a decent base, but I don't think it would be ideal for oily lids. i'm a sucker to the UDPP for those issues (layered with something else, maybe with this cream to powder shadow). i'll update soon.

@ kenya- VB: what's your favorite nars blush? while i love them, yeh they are a bit too rich for my blood. LOL!
