Maite presents NYX! Finally, on shelves near me! Pictured- glitter pencil sticks. I picked up the green and white pencils. I love glitter. Not for all over shimmer, but as accents with makeup for more dimension. Black glitter on a smokey eye.. yum! I wish they would have sold a black glitter =/ Reatil $3.49. The stick spreads the glitter evenly without the color of the actul stick being prominent. Staying power? Hmmm, a lot left to be desired. UDPP opens a world of possibilites, so we shall see.
Blusher and bronzer oh my! I swatched the darkest bronzer mosaic pot and it seemed a bit light. I think it would work well on me, but I'm not so certain for darker skintones. The pinker blush may work.. try it for yourself! I got a small drugstore haul. I would like to use some of the items for a bit longer before reviewing.
Tried any of this stuff? What's new in your neck of the woods and what should I look out for at my drugstore?

check out milani color brillance pencils...talk about gorgeous...the purple looks like stars n rockets, or pink pearl pigment in liner form...droolllingggg
ohhh ren! i've seen them. i picked up the green pencil, but didn't fall in love. now i'll have to get the purple. i've been lemming the pink pearl pigment just for cute accents, esp. since i have a ben nye powder as a dupe. so i WILL be picking that up. thanks!!
Rite Aid tends to get me in trouble. I have not seen those new displays, but I am going to go check out the Rite Aid down the street from my job after work.
I need to hit up my local Rite Aid to get some NYX. I hear it's a great brand.
The Mosaic Powders are alright; my favorite is 'Highlighter 01'. Personally, I much prefer Nyx's cream blushes; they're very highly pigmented.
I haven't seen those Mosaic powders in a drugstore for a very long time; Eckerds used to carry them, but once it was bought out by Riteaid, it was 'bye-bye Nyx'. Hopefully this means that Riteaid will bring back the Nyx (especially to my neck of the woods!).
HOLY BOOBIES!!! I need to hit up rite aid, like soon!!! Thank you sweets :)
OK. I so need to hit up Rite Aid for another make-up fix. Thanks for sharing
@ lakia: can we say any drugstore is a danger zone! hahaha! no need to rush for this, but it's there if you are curious.
@ afrodite: nyx is fun for a decent price. the blush was running about $7... they are getting a little big for their britches like loreal hip.
@ mandypandy: hey there! i've been skeptical about any of their blushes. is there any shade you recommend? well, we are behind i guess and boy was i pissed when rite aid took over eckerds! no more rimmel =(
@ lurve: hehe! i'm doing a post about how YOU made me go to Target. stay tuned!
@ slvrlips: yeh and if you choose this rite aid over this way, don't try to be incognito. come visit us and say hi! better yet, i just may bump into you!
Hey, Kia! Just wanted to say how much I like your blog and the new goodies they've got at the drugstore. I really want to try NYX but it's not sold here where I live. Plus, I love Maite Perroni <3 she's from my favorite band RBD :)Thanks for an awesome post!
Actually, as you're a NW (your skin has pink undertones) and all of NYX's cream blushes are warm toned, I'd say: go to town. Of the shades that I've tried, orange and Fuschia are my absolute favorites, but Red is nice as well, I suppose. The cream blushes are on par with MAC's, just as pigmented and smooth in texture.
As for the Mosaic Powders, they're not very pigmented and similar in texture to Benefit's Dandelion or Thrrrob powders (so if you apply too many layers, they can look powdery/chalky/obvious).
I have the NYX mosaic powder in champagne #05. I love it. I wear it every day. It's shimmery and the perfect pink. I'm much darker than you Yummy so it would definitely work on you. It goes on well. just a dab and swirl in the pot and sweep the apples.
I can't visit my local beauty supply store without buying NYX I need to find a store that sells NYX brushes can anyone help I'm in Pikesville MD
@ mandypandy: thanks! you know, i'm actually NC (which i use for foundations at MAC), but i use nw for concealers ha! i'll check out the colors that you recommended! thanks for the heads up on the products.
@ juvenescent: ooh sounds great! thanks!
@ couturesista: i know. i at least have to browse through. let me see what i can find for you. i know of one beauty supply closer to me, but it's not worth it as they don't sell the entire set of brushes, maybe two or three.. have you ever visited cherryculture.com for the whole selection? many ppl buy from there if visiting an actual store isn't an option. thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
I got an NYX mosaic powder in champagne and I don't think I really like it that much because the different colors have different color intensity so I can't help but get too much of one color on my face. I tried to swirl my brush and I was just picking up too much product. Just not user friendly to me although the colors are nice :(
connie, great review. i swatched it and didn't know what to make of it as the powder seemed loose and grainy as if it wouldn't adhere properly to my skin.. interesting. thanks for the feedback!
Exactly! I don't think I'll buy it again. I like the shimmer but it's just too loose! It adheres well though. just that it's hard to control the colors
