Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker

(photo)
I'm writing this sipping on my oh-so-delicious Bubble Tea. Now, I've had the drink before with different flavors and all: in China I couldn't quite get my question across to ask what exactly I was drinking and in the malls with terribly firm bubble (tapioca) balls. This time, I visited the known Tea-ism in DC and gave it another chance to experience the flavor of the place. I had a chicken bento box and a bubble tea (original flavor- with yummy soft and sweet bubbles). All of it was delicious! Now, I see why Rachael Ray herself came to the tea house, why my Spanish meetup group chooses this place to meet up and why the Food network featured cookie makers who sales cookies out of Teaism.

So on with the post and why I'm really writing today (just pretend that you are sipping bubble tea too)... On Saturday, I rode out with the homegirl Slvrlips and her sister in pursuit of makeup. On our journey, I was informed that we'd be in the same locale as an infamous Steve and Barry's where Sarah Jessica Parker's line Bitten is exclusively sold. ( I didn't even know I was within driving distance of a Steve and Barry's, let alone heard of it before Bitten.) For those in my DMV area, it's located in Potomac Mills Mall; yes people still shop there lol.

I was pretty impressed by the selection Sarah! Nice clean, GAP-esque pieces. The classic work shirts did it for me, but there were an assortment of items to choose from: sweaters, casual shirts, a cocktail black dress, lounge wear/ intimates and jeans. I didn't have time to try out the jeans (I HATE TRYING ON CLOTHES) but now I'm all too curious, as I heard they were long enough for the high hipped and long leg female-- not the usual short leg dubbed as 'average' length.

(l-r) Kimono sweater, $20; Vest, $15; Sleeveless Top, $8
There's so much more over at Bitten's site or at a Steve and Barry's near you.

I went to the Steve and Barry's in my area and checked the Bitten line out too and I was pretty pleased. The jeans also looked really good, but I didn't have time to try them on either but I am going to make a point to do so soon. Jeans have been a nightmare for me lately, but these might just do the trick! Great post!

Bubble Tea is yummy!! My favorite flavor is the taro milk tea (it's the milky purple colored drink) and I just love it!

When I go to the US, jeans will probably be the only thing I won't buy LOL. Not enough short legged jeans for people as tiny as me there. :D

I have yet to check out SJP's Bitten line, but I've heard mixed reviews. The stuff looked really cute on Oprah, but that was TV, in person could be a total let-down. Thanks for giving us your take on it.

@baby doll: bitten is pretty nice right? oooh if you ever try the jeans, please let me know what you think!

@jane: i can't wait to taste the taro milk. i don't think i've ever had that. i'm sorry about the jeans being too long. where are you located? when i went to china and japan i was deeply saddened that i couldn't get in on the hot fashion.. it was all too small!=((

@bgg: I like the line. think Gap at H&M quality...

SJP did wonders when she introduced this line of clothing i recently bought quite a few pieces and let me tell you the fit of their jeans is unbelievable and the prices are fabulous too there aren't many Steve&Barry's in my area so the one that i am familiar with is about tired of me coming in and raiding the racks!!! keep up the great work love it!!!

@karen: vests i think now are for the fashion forward risk takers. playing it safe with a vest will def put you back in the '90's lol..

will do... i hope to make it to the west coast one day soon!

@habitual beauty: thanks for stopping by! now you are gonna get me all hyped and excited about trying these jeans!!! lol stop!

I glad someone had some luck with the line...you know I went last Thursday and was not impressed but I will go back and try again. My friend Tasha loves that place. But she's like a 2.
