blue brown

Hey Nikkia!

I tried the blue brown! What an interesting color to work with.. anything i put on it, it turned blue! It made for a blue brown kinda day.. eh.. what do you think?

Blue brown pigment, palatial lustreglass, cork e/s in brows

So Nikkia gave me a piece of heaven by sending me home with a bit of blue brown pigment, fuschia pigment, Milani's rich chocolate.. and... golden olive pigment! More of these photos to come.... and less frowning LOL!

I love the Blue Brown. I think it looks great on you.. like a blue smoky eye. Try Mulch, Bronze, or Romp in the crease. (I cannot tell what is in the crease in the photo). Can't wait to see the fuschia. I am scared of pink on my eye.

Blue Brown is so pretty on you but it looks borderline "punched in the eye" on me and almost kind of reddish... Might have to try it tonight with a grey-ish shadow underneath like Moth Brown!

thanks diva and fashionista!

@diva: i should edit the post to mention that i tried plummage in the crease and a bit of carbon.. but it wasn't doing anything but turning blue!

@fashionist: i feel the same way.. borderline black eye... we have to learn to embrace and be confident in the smokey (bruised, lol) eye! i got the real blue to show up by just using a base like base light MAC paint, any of the cream liners or shadows (specifically revlon's cream shadows-illuminescense??) something like that. next i will try not to put the blue brown in the crease. i'll keep it strictly to the lid or try it as a crease color...

thanks for looking!

This looks really pretty on you. *Love* the duochrome colors from MAC. Club is one blueish-brownish colors that is currently rocking my world at the moment.

karen, i love the duochrome qualities in some of their shadows too. club, blue brown, the dark color in the danse quad and the showflower quad are all dark duo chrome colors that adore, but are afraid of. i'm just going to experiment with them until i love them! do you have any fotd's with any of the dark duo chromes? i'd love to see what you did with them?

I love blue brown piggie and its great on you. I do blue brown with chocolate piggie down near the lash line and blue brown in up and then a touch of tan piggie on the brow bone. But bb looks brown with a slight green tint on me maybe cuz I'm darker.

When I use blue brown, it looks a little red on me. I used it in the crease and goldmine on the lid...with a lil mulch.

I love Blue Brown pigment with purples!!!! Try a bit of Violet, Parfait Amour or Beautiful Iris in your crease, or even as a lower lash liner. Or better yet, put Embark in the crease and a purple directly over that. Blend like it's your middle name!!!! The effect is AWESOME. I highly recommend it! I used to wear it all the time.

Lordy, my old eyes are at it again. It looks like GB (green brown) on my monitor!!! Gorgeous all the same. I luvre BB. I especially love it on top of black gel liners used as a base on top lid. I adore that scarab/bug's wing look. It's also nice with Club in the crease and lashings of mascara. Nothing else required. Gawjus.
