Yummy411: CG Queen Collection Natural Hue Foundation Product Review

(photo: Walgreens.com)

This my friend has to be one of my favorite drug store products! Remember when I was waiting on it to arrive in my local stores? Well, I got my hands on some and now that the weather is cooler, it was definitely time to try it. I tried it out for the first time in this fotd. It is a creamy, rich foundation with medium to full coverage. It literally has me swooning. Why? Mainly because of the the lovely ads on TV and those that are glossing the pages of mags. Have you seen them? Also, I'm new to the cream foundation arena and I was delighted to be able to find a great foundation that fits my shade and budget right at the drugstore. The product is available in yellow, olive and red tones (7+ beautiful shades) perfect for women of color. Check it out the next time you are in the beauty aisle. Also available online at Walgreens, $8.99.

@ nilla cookie: thanks!

@ TOML: thanks! yeh, that's the reason i was always iffy of the medium- heavy coverage cream foundations; besides, i didn't think i needed it as much. so i was def glad when i found this. also, i was tired of always looking so sweaty with the light coverage tinted moisturizers (set with powder) and powders. it's a hard line to balance between getting that coverage for a photo to come out nice, but to look natural in person. so i applied the cream foundation with a mac 187 stippling brush for light but even coverage and set it with some powder. if you two try it out, i hope it works for you all! i love it =)

That color is perfect on you!

I want to try this too. I haven't used cream foundations much and was wondering, do you set it with loose powder? Or does it stay put on it's own.

hey karen! yes I set it with powder. i don't want too many oils seeping through or it to shift on me.. yikes! lol the ones that may stay put are more than likely the cream to powder finish foundations. i cant' wait to experiment with all different types and brands of foundations =)))

hey toml! i got the Natural Hue foundatin in rich sand. i would suggest that you buy two that you think may match your skintone, and return the one that doesn't work out. good luck! can't wait to see an fotd!
