I saw that video awhile back and was so deeply disturbed that I was moved to tears. I just don't understand why?! What is going on at home? What kind of messages are being absorbed into these children's pyches that they feel that they are "bad", "ugly"? When will our kids stop choosing the White doll?

elle, my sentiments exactly! i made my little sister watch it. when youtube posted the video to my blog, they didn't allow for commentary. i guess i shouldn't be surprised since i still hear comments like.... "your hair is straight like a white girl's!" after someone gets a fresh perm.

I think young girls here are smart and very beautiful92 of them are gorgeous). It really made my heart hurt watching this children choosing the white doll (very touchy), because I've putted myself in your shoes. Everybody knows we all wish to look like someone else(I wish I had darker skin and curly hair). But the true is, any women is cute and there's so much more than how we look...This video brings other issues to my attention and I think cultural issue is more important than skin color, big buts or straight hair and hope all children will get that when they'll grow up. Love you girls!

You can change the size of the videos! it's in the coding. look for the words width and height then change the numbers that follow:)
